What lense are you using?

Just a crop from the original shot, but taken with this format in mind.

I like the windmills a lot.

Have you ever tried taking several images and combining them ?

Yeah, Tried that at a viewpoint on Hoy overlooking Scapa Flow but I havent had much sucess joining them up as yet. Asking Photoshop to do it as a Photomerge thingy was a disaster!

try putting them on seperate layers. lowering the opacity of the top to 35% - the middle one to 50%, and leave the bottom one alone - should be able to line up the details pretty well, and then crop our the portions that over lap before merging. crop the out side edges after flattening and adjusting the seperate layers.

the trick is getting the exposures, and start stop points right with the camera/.

just a thought./

Canon photostitch can do a good job of joining pictures for a pan or 360!

Yup, it does well on simple stitching, but falls appart on anything interesting. PTGui and the free Panotools software is a great way of stitching images together - though you need to take a bit of a hands on approach to specifying common points to line up. //www.ptgui.com/ I think it is free for a few images or at least there is a free trial.

//www.panoguide.com has a lot of good info about other panoramic tools - though the site seemed down when I checked.

Here's one of my stitched photos. It actually started out as 11 separate pictures, but I cut the ends off for a better composition.

I have a bigger version if you're interested.
