What's the president's connection to all this? I read the entire article and he didn't get a single shout out. |

With all these accusations floating around I can't see how Bush hasn't been formally accused of any wrong doing. Must be because the right wing machine is so powerful, they can get into places and destroy documents proving Bush's wrong doing.
Damn right wing machine... |

It is amazing isnt it.
Do the "Bush Amazon.com" test:
Go to www.amazon.com
Do a search under "books" for the keyword "clinton" or "regan".
Observe the titles of the books that search finds on the 1st page.
Now, do the same search with the keyword "bush".
Observe the titles of the books that search finds on the 1st page. |

Oh, wait you almost fooled me. I didn't catch the part were Bush was "formally" accused of anything.

Do it yourself, its really simple. Watch this:
go to //www.google.com then type in exactly what you said: "correlation between the war and huge oil profits" then press search.
Here
And walla.. limitless information at your finger tips.
Now to make a point I used your exact fraise to search. One would probably have better luck with a more specific, less wordy search.
You can also do searches on cnn.com and other more "main stream" news sources if you want. Although main stream news is why im having to explain this to you right now. |

I bet Bush has one of those guys like Clinton and Kerry's buddy cleaning up after him so no one will catch him at anything.
I'd much rather have a president taking advice from a guy like Berger. |

Ok, I get the whole George Bush, "war for oil" conspiracy thingy. But I was looking for links to more plausible explanations. You know, something like manipulating gas prices when oil prices rise. Or taking refineries off line to create shortages whenever they want. Or perhaps the monopolization of oil companies, running the little guys out of business. But I guess the government spending a $100 Billion on a war to boost Exxon's profits makes total sense. |

How about the Bush's and their mates directly benefiting from huuuuge oil contracts PERSONALLY. As for monopolization, how many small oil companies do you know of???
The worlds gonna run out of oil. The sooner the better. Its gonna cause mayhem but i think the western world needs that kick in the teeth. It might actually make people wonder if they actually NEED stuff rather than want it. America's SUV's what the hell are they about?? 10 miles per gallon and cheap fuel for the people that waste the most!? I share a friends diesel that runs at least 60 miles per gallon becuase i don't need a fat gas guzzling monster. Nor do most people that have one.
The West is gonna have a nasty wakeup call soon. Its gonna be ugly but we have been asking for it for too long ........ Karma. |

That̢۪s great that you don̢۪t want or need a gas guzzling monster. You should get an environmentally friendly medal.
As for me, I frequently need my gas guzzling monster SUVs. Since I don̢۪t have the money to spend, or a place to put a small economical car to drive when I don̢۪t need them, I use my gas guzzling monsters all the time. I pay my higher gas, insurance and taxes and i don't complain.
I also have to pass emission test every two years (which I also have to pay for) and I̢۪m forced to keep my SUVs running efficient and clean. How often do you test your black smoke spewing, diesel fume monster for emissions? Want to bet that my two SUVs combined put less toxins in the environment then your car?
Diesel fumes are 10-100 times more toxic then a regular gasoline engine̢۪s fumes. Diesel fumes have been linked to causing cancer (3 known carcinogens in the fumes) and asthma, among other things. The fumes are particularly damaging to children.
So feel good. You are saving money on gas and conserving oil. Who cares if you̢۪re ruining a few kids lives.

See that part about "nor do MOST people that have one".
I'm sure like you say, you need your's, so fair enough, you have them. I'm still sticking with the point that so many people have one cause 'they look cool' or 'i like to drive something big'. You honestly gonna tell me thats not the case? It happens all over, people buying big 4WD Range Rover things then drive all day on a tarmacked road.
As for the emissions. I reckon that diesel engine would probably create less pollutants per mile than your SUV's. Just a guess so if i'm wrong i'm wrong. Plus its a modern diesel that has to follow our emission control laws.

Might want to do an internet search on diesel fumes. I worked in a hanger where they ran diesel fumes all day. After day 2 of feealing really sick I did some homework and and found out they can be really bad for you. |

I'll say! They might even be so toxic as to cause a person to vote (gulp) Republican. :D

It's the Republicans who want to let the unregulated Mexican trucks over-run our highways ...
It's the Republicans who continually fight efforts to clean the air, and to force automakers to make more efficient cars ...
It's the Republicans who constantly fight against making the polluters pay the actual cost of the cleanup, or for the health care of those made ill ...
It's the Republicans ... |

I give up. You're right. Everything bad in the world is the republicans fault.
