Okay, the County Fair is next week and I've decided to enter some photographs. The problem is choosing which ones!

They have Collections Black and White and Color Collections and they have Single B&W and Single Color.

I have shots that will fit just about every section but I can't afford that much framing and mounting. :)

So my problem is choosing which shots to enter!

On the color collection they have two sections I'm interested in. One is Children and the other is people. I was thinking of using some shots from this series for the children:

James Playing

Can use 4 to 6 for the collection.

I have a series of shots from James' Birthday, upclose of the different people that I was thinking of using for the People collection.

And I was thinking of using this one for the Children Single Color:

And one of these for the B&W children single shot:

My Three Babies

And this one for the Color Other Section:

And this one for the Color Animal Single:

And Maybe a series of these for the Color Animal Collection:

What do you all think? I will get Gale's permission to use the horse shots since they are all from her place :)

I like the first color single children pic (your daughters), the color other section pic (headstones), and the second horse pic. They're different, have something unique about them, and they're good.

What are the processing rules for the fair? I like the kitten, but the spots of blue throughout the picture are distracting, and if you can use layers and spot editing, you could get just the blue eyes and end up with a more striking shot. let me know if you need a more in depth description of what I mean. I also like the second horse shot, very unique persprective and nicely captured movement.

Okay, this is what I decided on, found out I have time to order them from DPC (please don't be late this time around). I ordered all 8 X 10's so they will stick out a bit more than a regular 5 x 7

I am entering 8 single shots as follows:

Color Single Animal:

Color Single Children:

Color Single Nature:

Color Single Any Other:

B & W Animal:

B & W Children:

B & W Nature:

B & W Any Other:

I may still do the Color Collection of People with the shots from the birthday party, there are some really good candids in there and I'll just print them up locally. I would print them up on my printer but it decided to pop two of the paper rollers tonight! The car muffler fell off (the older car) and the printer dies. I'm telling you!

Comments are always welcome!

Did you not get permission for the horses? I think the second horse pic above is much better personally.

She never answered me but I'm sure it would have been okay. I went back and forth and back and forth on that one. I may still do a color collection of the horses with the these:

Again, I'll just print those up locally since they don't have to be big pictures.

That and I'm going to give the 8x10 of the kitten to my client since it's his kitten. THere are 4 of them and the Mamma and they are taking them all in and getting them fixed. 2 of the kittens are deaf and they are all extremely feral except for the mamma, she's the sweetest thing.

Awwww, thanks! I love that shot too, I even have the 8x10 already. I may still enter that instead of the sisters, I don't have to give descriptions of the shots, just what size and if they are color or B&W. And it looks rather professional if I say so myself, as does the sisters. And then I may still do a color collection on her if I can find enough shots :)

She looks a little different these days, she shaved her eyebrows last night, the dink :)

Changed my mind about the

Black & White any other, it's going to be this one:

The black and white version of this one:

Will get that one made up locally as well as the ones the girls are entering. Melissa is going to enter her highest scoring shot so far:

For the Color Rural Life section :)

Wish us luck!
