Oh my goodness...
It is a bit ingenius, but I don't think that I would ever want to risk my $1000 camera on top of a 2-liter. Those damn things alredy fall over way to easy. I can just imagine what would happen if that fell over and soda started leaking out and onto/into that camera...
Yikes!
I say, if you have that camera, spend the $19 to $30 on some 'el-cheapo' brand tripod you wouldn't have to fear hainvg your precious take a dive. |

For small tripods, the ultrapod and the ultrapod II can't be beat.
Find them at //www.campmor.com for well under $20 each. |

The Bogen / Manfrotto 709 Digi Tabletop Tripod with Ballhead is fantastic. I have the kit version with the center piece extension. Solid construction, cork feet, adjustable ball head.
Just great.
