First attempt - DPChallenge Forums

This is my first attempt ever to make an artistic editing. I think this could fit into the digital art category.

I'd really like to have comments on this one as it have a real personnal value. Also, I'd really like to know if you guys think it's digital art or photography.

I liked the first one. It's hard to explain but it gives a good sense of her feelings.... does that makes sense? just by her posturing and and facial expressions and such....

But the second one is just about perfect, to me anyways. I think you did a very good job at editing it and if I hadn't seen the original, I wouldn't think it was really edited much at all. Very nice job, I think you really captured the moment and feelings very well.

Looking at it again, maybe add just a little more headroom. Seems a little tight on top. Should be easier now that you've gone to a complete black background. just an idea... :-)

I agree with jenesis, tight crop. Looks like the picture was taken with the tight crop. You could try to fix it in the edit by adding more black space above. She's beautiful, though. A lovely picture!

I third that motion...just a bit of black at the top should really make it fabulous! :o)

In order to keep the same aspect ratio, if I crop some black from the bottom would it be good?
