| Got my camera, got the chocolate, ate the chocolate, got sick from the chocolate, and no shot this week...:( |

| Got many great ideas but no model to do the shoot ... bought 1 kg of chocolate plus some ice-cream chocolate sauce and I haven't eaten a pice of it :) but do not have a photo for the chalenge ... but there are still 5 hours left ;) |

tried a few things this week, but failed to come up with something compelling enough to submit... finally, last nite, had this great idea and could hardly wait for today to implement it... i find that i care less and less about the scores, just wondering if anybody else will "get it" or not... we shall see...

I Second that... I streched "words" and *ouch* NO ONE got it. But that is what I like about this site, other sites lack in that respect... I got late inspiration and pulled 2 items from the fridge and shot away!!! Just submitted for chocolate

Im going all out for the brown ribbon this time I submitted a little girl cuddling a cute little hamster sailing off into the sunset on a bar of chocolate covered with flowers. Watch out for it.
Trufully though I dont wanna see any more chocolate for a year or two, everytime i tried to assemble my shot and turned around my little girl ate it and was giggling about it, I had to eat what was left ... YUCK!!

I went out to Mary of Puddin Hill which is a local chocolate and candy factory, hoping to get something really cool for the challenge. Well, their lighting is, shall we say, HORRIBLE so nothing came out the way I wanted, at least for a challenge shot. So, here are a few for your enjoyment, just to see some of the creations there...for reference, the carousel is the same size as one your kids would ride at a grocery store or KMart or the like, and the doll house is on a 4x8 sheet of plywood. The other buildings are at least 3 feet wide. The detail work in the house and the store is extraordinary....and ALL of it, 100%, is made of chocolate. The I Love Lucy mural is in the packing room, and it looks just like the one in that famous episode. It would have been great if more than one lady was working in there today! Enjoy!

I had to buy some chocolate just to keep from alarming the people where I was taking the photos. :D
They tend not to yell at customers. :)

I didn't submit anything for this one, too busy this week... But I did buy some chocolate to get a feel for what it might have been like to enter.
Come to think of it, I've got 10 minutes... I might nip out and buy something brown, it's only 15:50 local time, so the shops are open :-). |

For a change, I was finally able to spend some time actually working on a challenge. I worked on this thing all day today, sweating like mad in my studio/garage. I don't know how many shots I took, but I'm sure it's a lot. And, after all that work, I still couldn't get the shot that I wanted!!! Oh well, at least I can eat my subject after dinner.

Nice work on the chocolate challenge- a lot of very creative entries in this one. I wasn't going to submit anything, but I put a shot together at the last minute. I thought it was pretty good, even after looking through the field of entries. So I hit the update button and the first vote rolls in... a 3.000! Uh oh...
Now clawed up to a 4.6667 with 9 votes, but still not looking too good. :-(
