Do people make comments to random photos very often, ones they see when browsing galleries or peoples' profiles? Or is commenting mostly only done during challenges? Just curious because I've never received any comments on my photos, except for challenge entries. And once when I posted a couple thumbnails in a thread asking for thoughts.
I don't think I've ever commented on random photos. I guess I feel a bit like a voyeur when I'm lurking around other portfolios so I don't give myself away by saying anything. I know I'd appreciate random comments though so I might go back and leave some on my favorites. |

I comment on random images all the time...if I see something that strikes me, I leave a thought. Most of my comments still come from the challenges, however. I think any constructive or or non-rude comment is great, whether it came by random or by challenge. :o)

One of my favorite pages here is under the Photos > Browse link, which takes you to a page of photos most recently commented-on.

I rate ALL the picture from 1-7
I recheck all the 7 picture to mak my to 3 (10) and 9-8-7
I comment only the 10-9-8 picture
I make usefull comment on improving pictures vote 1....

To attract comments you must give us more interesting photos !
If you shoot in color,I want to see colorful images where natural light is well used.
Photography is not just capturing cute subjects,but capturing the light applied to those subjects.
If you do b/w photos I want to see deep tonal range of blacks and grays.
Most of your photos have a color issue,due to low quality equipment or maybe they need some improvement done by software !
Just an idea ;-)

| I'm also somewhat limited in (documented) comments received since a most of my non-entry images have to be hosted at pBase (out of portfolio space here). |
