I retouched one of my favorite submissions wich by the way was DQ´d :p
and tried a new kinda frame on it....
the other one had some favs on it but it was only in 540 x something resolution so I swapped it out for this new and improved version wich is even more photoshopped than the other:p but would however be legal with the rules we have now..
anyone like this kinda frames?

I kinda like the letterbox look...nice photo as well. I didn't see the original, I guess. The right side by the tree trunk looks a bit odd...very square looking area - PSd there? Have you tried it with that side cropped into the tree a bit? Just a thought. Desat works well for this image, IMHO. :o)

well it was overexposed on the right side of the tree so I burned it a little there to make it a little less obvious...
I have tried cropping into the tree on that side but didnt think it looked as good ...

I like that style of frame and have used it myself on various images. It doesnt work on all images but I think this type of shot where the viewing is horizontal (eye sweeps from one side to the other instead of up and down or lead around) it works well. One suggestion, though - dont submit a print with this type of border unless you want complaints from D&L! It'll be approved but they dont tend to like them.
