Well I finally decided to take out my camera today, after 1.5 weeks of vacation, and go bug hunting. Found a few nice catches:

The third one is my fave too!

A little off-topic but I have a question... I've noticed lots of folks have their own websites but then post their photofolios on pbase (or other) accounts. Why is that?

Probably because pbase, et al., provide unlimited storage for photos whereas a web hosting company is only going to provide on average 200-300mb of storage for a personal web site. If you wanted to store the original version of the JPG online, the average website space is only going to allow a very limited number of images.

No problem. I'm only guessing, as this is the situation I'm faced with.

Great macros, per usual. You may want to keep the pic showing your fingerprint (assuming that's your fingertip) away from the local authorities though...

:-)

to answer another question - i have server space for like $14 a month.
thats unlimited storage, and bandwidth - no ads unless you put them there.

i am working on this at the moment. EDIT: almost made a mistake.
oops - will post later maybe.

Jacko...I never cease to be amazed by the macro techniques you flawlessly execute...wow. I can only hope that when I grow up, I can take pictures just like you! LOL

Excellent shots...I absolutely adore the one on your fingertip. Wonderful!!!!!

i think pbase is popular partly because its a community as well as a portfolio.

Those are great shots.

I'm really jealous. I've tried a few times myself and have yet to produce even one bug shot I'm happy with. Maybe one day...
