2nd one is best in lighting, pose etc. Looks most professional.
1 and 3 are alright.
Not keen on 4 at all, don't like pose or facial expression.

Have to go with Kavey on 2...it's the best of the four. The lighting and pose are very flattering and it DOES look quite professional IMHO. 1 is nice...the only thing I'm not really sure about is the pose. I am not very fond of 4, the pose and expression just don't do anything for me. 3...I like the lighting and tone of the skin, but there's something just a bit off in the pose. :o)

For my 2c worth.
The hands are a key part these shots, you've given all four shots quite a bit of tension though the inclusion of the 'tight' hand posture.
I agree that #4 seems not quite right, the posture, and disembodied hand just don't look right. #2 is definately the nicest of the four, but again the tension with the hands seems to me to be in conflict with the overall restful posture you've chosen. The hot-spot on your arm is a little distracting, but not in a bad way.
They are all good photos though, keep up the good work, and keep on sharing, you might even convince the rest of us to try... |

you are all crazy! four is the best by far!
jj
actually though I do like 4 because of the disembodiment of the clenched hand contrasted with the sublime expression on the face. Seems like a study in duality of being. might want to consider changing the light on face and hands; possibly by leaving the hands with a sharp single light but on the face use two and soften features up more.
might end up being a little creepy but forces me to think of an inner self struggling to rise-up and out of a contented and "normal", but relatively eventless, life.

...nah, not crazy...just that Kavey and I probably view the male figure in a different light (no pun intended) than men do, and to us, we don't want to be disturbed (speaking for myself, Kavey may feel differently LOL)...we want something more visually pleasing, I suppose.

absolutely beautiful. #2 is my favourite but #3 is good also. I really like the posture and the lighting. I agree with Laurie, as women we have a different view. I personally think the curves of the lower abdomen are the sexiest part of a man and they look great in #2 and #3. Ideas for next time: bodywaxing, baby oil, etc.. LOL hahaha Excellent Shots! :o)
Cheers

thanks for all the comments.. to tell you the truth i would never guessed that i would ever pose for as nude since i am being way hairy(being from the coast of meditereanian).. i am tired of waiting for others to come along for me to take pictures of.. so i decided to give it a try and i am especially surprised how well they turned out.. i guess it is a totally different talent to turn a hairy beast into an artsy looking photo with nice lighting :P
thanks again all:) |

I like #4 the most. It is different then the rest. #1,2,3 are more traditional and #2 is the best out of them. I would like to see #4 in the same color as #2.
Your work is very impressive! |

Being a hairy bloke as well, I can appreciate what you mean.. I've only every done one 'nude' photo, which is my wife's desktop photo. I took about 300 shots before I found an angle and lighting that didn't make the hairy look, well, hairy. :-).

I suspect you have to actually ask folks, otherwise they wont turn up. I'd love to 'get into' portraiture, but of my two available models one is only 10 months old, and the other has an aversion to cameras. Consequently I have 10,000 cute photos of my daugther, and a few of my wife running for the hills! :-).
This is one of those catch 22's. You need to have some decent stuff to show people to get them to sit for you, but you can't do any decent stuff until someone sits for you... In your case you've certainly now got material to prove you skill, you just need to find some interesting people and ask them to sit.. Good luck with that last bit, I don't have the gumption to do it myself.. |

I like these shots a lot, mehmet. And I also have to say to all the lovely men of dpc (and the world) there is NOTHING at all wrong with hair on a guy. Your shots are sexy and tense, mehmet, don't give a second though to how hairy you are..it looks great!

Double ditto. I was actually going to post the same sentiment. BTW, Mehmet, are you getting more calls/PM's from the ladies or from modeling agents????

triple ditto! i love the primal look of all the photos but i have to say that #4 is my favorite. the expression on your face of giving in to pleasure is what sells the shot, IMO.
whew! is it getting hot in here???

Hope I didnt give you a complex with my bodywaxing comment, I was of course joking. Hair is what seperates the men from the ladies if ya ask me ;) I was just trying to give you tips for your next self portraiture session.. please overlook my preverse fettish's [ but the baby oil comment still stands, lube it up! ]
