Taken on my recent holiday on the Norfolk Broads. It was not the best of days so I boosted the colours using 3 layers (sky, green, water). I like the extra colour and see a postcard image in this?, comments suggestions welcome :)

Thanks Laurie :) the bright red object is actually a guy standing on his boat, I think I should maybe clone him out?

Yeah, it kind of distracts the eye...made me wonder what it was. Other than that...it's very nice.

Thanks,my other worry is the windmill looks a bit askew, when I get time I'll go through the other 1600 pics I took last week :)

I personally feel the sky as a bit much contrast. That's just me though.. my eyes are very sensative. |

I think the shot is very pretty, but the colors seem oversaturated to me... most especially the sky.

Thanks for the comments :) I think I may have gone too far the other way with the sky? the orig is too washed out and whilst I think this is better I reckon I need to read a decent tutorial on playing with sky! (where is Heidas tutorial on dodging/burning?)I also decided to take out the boats as I felt they were too small to add to the pic.

Good job, I like the new one much better. Removing the boats helped the picture out a lot. |

I didn't see this the first time around. It really is a beautiful "postcard". I tend to favor strong, saturated colors. I actually like the fist one btter, but agree tht the sky and water need to be brought a little more in line with other. I have yet to learn the dodge and burn thing, so admire anyone who can! Isn't it hard to go through all those vacation photos?? Took me forever!
