I like them. #3 seems a bit dark for my taste. Also did you edit these via PS? I've never quite seena flower that has other colors on the pedals such as this with the colors expanding from middle like that.

I didn't PS anything except to save for web.
I just used the levels adjustment and sharpening in Capture One.
I'm not sure what type of flower it is, just something that my wife planted:D

They are beautiful! The first one is very rich and varied; the third one I love the focus on. All are great shots to me!

# 3 is just fine on my monitor. Has yours been calibrated yet? If not, I think it is unfair for you to say this. We should all be in the habit of checking the colour line on the bottom when making such statements.

It is a chrysanthemum. Some people call them 'garden mums' (but that name annoys me), I think because they flower usually around mothers day.

Edit to add - oh yeah, nice pics, the middle one is my fav.

Rooster, my monitor is just fine. ;) Other images are bright as always. It is probably just my opinion of dark opposed to yours. It's not too dark to see, just too dark to my liking.

I like #1 the best. It has a "center of attention" with elements that surround and enhance it. Pictures 2 and 3 lack that "center of attention" and I'm left not knowing what to look at... they are pretty flowers, just not as strong a composition as in the first picture.
