| Seventeen years old, beautiful blond, came to USA with her parents at age seven, lived in Florida and now California. Seems to me she could be called a Russian-born American since she has lived here more than half her life. She really dominated Serena today and I suspect we'll be seeing much of her in the future. Serena deserves kudos for the gracious manner shown in accepting what must have been a mentally crushing defeat. |

Like in any sport it's good to see others at the top instead of the usual, but I hope Armstrong wins the tour (Tour de France- Biking) again =)

Yes, she is very impressive. I wasn̢۪t surprised to see her get to the finals because she really is a great tennis player, but I was surprised to see her beat Serena that easily. I expected it to be a closer match, with Serena winning in the end. It was great to watch a new champion being born. If she can stay healthy, she may eventually be one of the best of all time. She certainly has the game for it; and the composure.
