Just wondering who else on the East Coast is experiencing this tremendous thunder and hail storm. I'm used to thunder but we don't get a lot of hail storms in Rhode Island. The hail seems to have passed finally. The clatter was tremendous!

Sunny on long island. Hope you keep it up there! LOL

Hmm. Just had a heck of a thunderstorm with massive lightning flashes pass thru here, too. I love it when I get the auto-reboot feature on my PC to kick-in without being asked. Thank goodness for surge protectors.
One of these days, I gotta get one of those UPS devices to bridge the outage spikes.

Oh. I'm on the "east coast", too - but 1200 miles from R.I. - I'm in ( not so sunny ) Florida.

So where's the pics? We're just skirting the edge of those storms here in lower CT. So far just one brief shower that served no purpose other than to soak me while I changed a license plate. That's a shame too, 'cause I sort of enjoy the lightning.

Hi Melismatica -
We had terrible storms here in Boston last night around 3-5 AM, and again this afternoon around 3:00 or so. Torrential rain and wicked (that was a New England expression used on purpose for all non-New Englanders! LOL) lightning.
No hail. Sounds like you got it worse.
They were short lived, but intense.

In the deep south, we call that: The Afternoon.

Everyday for the past, oh, four weeks or so it's been sunny in the am, rising to ~90deg F., then Boom! three o'clock hits with the compulsary thunderstorm. It set off the fire alarm in my building at work today; an interesting situation: be chased outside by lightning messing with the alarms, only to be hit by a bolt! Admirable tactics (and I work for the Army!)

Cheers
