Does anyone know of a way to bring out more shadows in photoshop(CS)? I know it can be done with Raw images, but what about with jpg?

image - adjustments - shadow/highlight

... adjust "shadows" to about 25% usually looks ok-ish :)

or if you do not have PS CS, this tutorial explains how to achieve the same results, but with less control.
