Item: Peak Design Slide Lite Camera Strap

Price: $69.95

I bought a new camera last week and wanted to get a decent quality strap to go along with it. When I did the obligatory 'camera strap' search on Amazon, this is the first one that came up. This strap came in three variations... the SLIDE, SLIDE LITE, and LEASH.

Slide:

Max Length 57" - 145cm
Min Length 39" - 99cm
Strap Width" 1.3" - 3.2cm

Slide Lite:

Max Length 57" - 145cm
Min Length 39" - 99cm
Strap Width" 1.8" - 4.5cm

Slide Leash:

Max Length 57"
Min Length 32.6"
Strap Width" 0.75"

Not much difference in the two other than the width of the strap. They are available in six different colors, but the color choices aren't the same between the two models. I bought the LITE version just because the Sony Alpha a6400 with a lens just isn't gonna be heavy. The LEASH version probably would have been ok, but I tend to like wider straps on my guitar, so my camera will get the same treatment :)

The straps are made out of a heavy duty nylon material that looks and feels about like a seat belt strap. The durability feels fantastic. The strap part that goes around the neck has some small silicone nibs on it to keep it from sliding around and provide grip against your clothing. These straps are configured in such a way that you can use them around your neck, crossbody, or as a shoulder sling. The connectors that attach to your camera allow for quick release from the strap if needed, leaving the connectors attached to the camera for a quick reconnect. The strap comes with four of those connectors so you can have them on two different cameras if you wish. It also comes with one mount that fastens into your tripod mount on the camera if you prefer strapping to that point on the camera instead.

This strap wears very comfortably in all three carry modes. This one gets my #ReallyRightStuff hash tag...

I have had these on my heavy FF gear including the 100-400 lens, the heaviest of all. Very easy to use, great design. I still have them and no plans to buy any heavy equipment so if anyone wants them I can post them to you as long as you pay for the postage :)

I love Peek Design. I have every single piece you have shown here and more from them. Yes, even my phone case and the phone tripod. Peak Design is an amazing company, I often go down to the Soho store to hear the speakers and see their slides. I love their products, their designs are wonderful and light weight and often carry my camera in one of their bags, if I bring extra lenses. So easy to change my camera strap to a wristlet. I love this company and I am so glad you shared this with everyone on DP. Every single thing they make is well designed and well worth what they charge for their designs, which isn't much IMO.
