Have any of you played around with some of the cheap fully manual lenses like 7Artisan, AstrHori, or TTArtisan?

My prime macro for my EOS M200 is a 7Artisans fully manual lens I picked up on the cheap from a used outlet. I absolutely love it. I also use a third-party adapter that turns an old Nikon manual-only film camera mega-zoom lens into one I can use on my wife's old EOS 7D body. I love that too. The main booger is just not being able to log any info on aperture in the EXIF--but I'm still learning too much about exposure in the first place to care about that after the fact.

What focal length macro lens did you get? I found a 60mm that will work with my Sony. I was using a 100mm macro on my Canon in the past...

It's a 60mm f/2.8. It's the only dedicated macro I've ever tried with any camera so far.

Maybe I will give it a try. The price is right.

I have a Canon D-250 close-up lens (should have got the 500) and a set of Aragon close-up lenses rated in diopters which I haven't really gotten around to experimenting with -- maybe I will now ...

My camera has a "SuperMacro" mode which lets it focus right to the surface of the lens (it can focus on dust on the lens if there's no other subject!) so I don't use the macro lenses that much.
