At least it feels that way, like being run over by a truck. Dang! Got both shots yesterday and it made me super tired today along with a fine headache.

My wife got both shots also and she's fine. Go figure.

Got both on Halloween ... had a bad headache for maybe 18 hours starting a few hours after the shots, and the usual arm soreness for a couple of days.

FWIW I've found that when I get the two shots together the side effects seem milder than when I got the Covid shot alone.

FWIW2 more severe effects from the vaccines are considered a sign of an active and effective immune system -- good as long as you have a couple of days off to wait it out.

FWIW3 recent research seems to indicate that the mRNA Covid vaccines increase the effectiveness of some anti-cancer medications, extending survival times significantly.

I got Covid on the plane (I think) on the return trip from Glacier National Park in September. I had a rather severe sore throat for a few days and was very tired for several weeks afterwards. So I skipped the Covid vaccine and only got the flu shot with no after effects. Not even a sore arm.

Oh yes and I forget to mention that I barked like a dog and chased squirrels around the backyard with the Covid!! (Just kidding) but it was pretty “ruff”!

LOL - That sounds like me when I came down with Rocky Spotted Mountain Fever (from a tick bite)!

I just got the flu shot and I have learned to only get one at a time, no issues. Last covid shot I went to a wedding in Croatia was horribly sick temperature all during the layover in Brussels. But... Everyone at the wedding got covid, sadly bride and Groom too and I never got it that time. So it may be worth getting. hmmm... I will be on the west coast for the holidays. Sounds like a good idea.
I hope you all feel better!

I think we lucked out. My wife and I got the Flu + Covid about a week ago. Everything went smoothly for me. My wife was a bit achy for about 24 hours, but that was it.

Yeah, the wife and I did that a few weeks back and I can confirm that result. We were sick(ish) with a headache, aches & pains for about 10 days. Also super tired for several days.

UhOh, I wasn't going to get the shot but I think I now should because I am going to LA to spend Christmas with my daughter. I haven't seen her for a year and I miss her. (Bragging but that's what Mom's do, she is production on "The Pitt", her team just got an Emmy) I am one proud Mom. If I don't get the shot I could get covid and that would be worse. Next Monday is the big day :'( Last shot I was really sick. UGH!!!
My husband got the shot no reaction at all. Figures...

I had no problems with the flu shot, but the COVID shot was tough on me this year. The first day I had a fever and was extremely tired, the second day I was still tired, but I feel a bit better, and today I'm feeling great again. Let's hope I can keep it that way.

Try the shingles vax!!! That’s a donkey kick for sure - I was red, swollen and sore for 1.5-2 wks after - had to put my big girl pants on to get the seconds shot - no issues (by comparison!!!)

Having shingles is worse, and can cause additional complications (vision loss pneumonia, death) ...
