I have a dillema. For the "Color Studio Portraits" challenge I have taken a picture of myself again. It started out as just a test shot to get set up for someone else, but as of now I don't really have anyone else. So my question is would you, knowing it was me, change your vote at all? Or would you simply look at it for two seconds, vote as if you had never seen my face, and move on?
I realize that with winning the "Choices" challenge I am probably pretty easy to recognize now.
Please be honest. I want to score the best I can in what I think will be a very cometative challenge. If I must find another model I will make every effort to do so.
Thanks!

I say find another model, try not to use yourself when ever possible, or that's what I think, keeps your pics looking fresh, that is if you don't use the same model in everything either. That's my 2 cents though.

I'd vote on the merit of the image and not who was in it myself... hadn't thought of doing a self-portrait for this one. Hmmm. Interesting idea. Ann

I can't help but think some people may markdown for using the same subjects or compositions unless it's done better then the original. |

In my opinion, this new one will be the best one I have entered. Of course I think there will be a LOT of excellent studio shots. I am so new at lighting, everything I do is just trial and error. Fortunatly I found something I like. |

Actually, I recognized your face while voting in the choices challenge from another photo you made where you were dressed up kinda Zorro-ish. I'd be a little hesitant to keep putting myself in photos because it might bias some voters, even if it's on a subconscious level. Personally, I wouldn't vote any different knowing it was yours.... but anonymity can bring out some strange behaviour in some folks. Just my $.02 |

There is a certain individual who has taken a picture of themselves numerous times with the same exact pose and I think it hurts that persons score plus the photos aren't very good anyway. I thought about doing a portrait of myself because I have no willing victim er... subject. I agree with Welland if it is executed well it could do ok.
