Hey ya'll!
I've been playing with the concept of reversed lens in front of another for macro stuff. My lenses include:
Canon 50mm 1.8
Tamron 70-300 4-5.6
Rebel kit lens 18-55
I've tried all the combos but I still get horrible vignetting and dang is it hard to get focused in! What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help!! |

Havent tried this technique so I cant answere your question directly but the Tamron 70-300 is quite usable for some macro. Take a look at these. |

Is the apeture on the backwards lens always set to wide open?

Unless you rig up something clever, or use an older lens, then probably.
