That is a cool new toy! My ten year-old would give his eye teeth for a dirt bike...but mom is just too paranoid after our trampoline-back flip-broken arm incident last month. Thanks for sharing the pics with us! :o)

Very cool, glad to see the lad with the proper protective gear on as well.

Expensive Gear!
But well worth it--
Hey Laurie, nothing wrong with a little backflip on a trampoline now and then, :)

Except when you think you are Neo from The Matrix and find out that the ground is much harder than you think! ;O) Oh well, with three sons I figured one of them would break an arm sooner or later!

Those are some awesome photos that I can really relate to. I had a couple YZ 125's along time ago that I raced for years. Boy, those were the days.

Great shots, thanks for sharing, it really takes me back. Great memories.

Riggs, Im hoping to get some good ones soon.
Kinda hard to take pics of Motocross in my subdivision, lol--
Its a pretty bike though, wont stay like that long though..
And its his first bike, never rode one before, besides his 4-wheeler so hes got the clutch down..
He's a natural, just took off on it.
He was a little surprised that when he was in 4th gear and he hit the throttle, that the front tire lifted off the ground though!
Those things are damn fast, but I think hes got a good handle for it.
An 80 was just too small for a 14 year old thats 5'10 and 165 pounds!

Me too Riggs, I loved my dirt bikes back then. I was totally free to roam the great open spaces, hills, mountains, creeks, open pastures, and trails of northern CA back then. Can't do that today anymore.

My first "real" bike was a 1975 Yamaha monoshock MX 250. LOL!! Haahaha, 29 horsepower baby. It was fast as hell back then. :) Big a$$ knobby rear tire would kick mud 20 feet into the air. The first "YZ" model came out in 1976.

If those are snaps I'd be interested to see you actually trying! Some of them are really good shots.

My favs:

yz8 - Really nice tight crop and smooth even background. Slight shame it's blown out a bit.

yz2 - I like this because of the background - the angled roads and reasonably high DOF. Again the exposure is a little off, but for something like this it's very hard to get right.

yz13 - I'm sure Yamaha would be pleased to have that shot distributed. Remove the couple of glass stains and there's a nice product shot there. Again I think DOF really adds to the shot.

Nice work, Tim.
