This was my backup image for the de-sat challenge, in case I couldn't get all my props in time. But on reading the challenge details, I can't enter it, as the background's not greyscale (although it is desaturated to a degree)...any comments on this image?

Ummmm it looks like just a scattering of misc leaves with way too much red saturation. It has no subject - might make a good background, but, without a focus point it's not challenge material.

I don't like it,nothing interesting going on and lighting is dull !
Would give it 3.

if you could find a way to isolate the background from the petals it would have much more appeal. i agree you need to tone down the saturation on the petals significantly

i think you you masked the petals and grayscaled the backgroud and used some dodging, while turning the red almost into a pink it would look nice
