ConFIDentially (or not?), she had an improvisational comedy group in Palo Alto and San Francisco for a few years, and when my youngest brother was done with high school they moved to L.A. to resume her show-biz career. Her troupe in L.A. included Robin Williams for a while (before Mork). I have a PDF of some autobiographical stories and some audio clips if you're really interested. She also worked on some movies, but sadly not The Day Of The TrifFIDs* ...

I have a "dictionary collection" and was able to find "lozel" as an alternate spelling for "losel" -- a lovely word fREEly (and appropriately in this case) interpreted as "a worthless fellow; a scamp" ...

If I look at it with heavily-liDDEd eyes... I can picture that.

StrICTly speaking I think you mean "heavy-lidded" -- "heavily" would suggest stuff piled onto them ... though I haven't checked the dICTionary this time it's my convICTion that this is the case.

I'm weiGHIng in on your grammar thoughts. While I think that I should not have used a hyphen, I think "heavily" is correct. It is how it is lidded. If I were to use "heavy", I should use "heavy, lidded" (with a comma)... And that would mean something entirely different. They were heavy and they were lidded. But the way I used it describes how they were lidded.

"Lidded" is an awkward word. Just look at it!

Now, I'm siGHIng because "awkward" is also an awkward word. Look at IT!!

Now, I'm lauGHIng at myself... *sigh*

HEAVe ho
Way up there
They think they found
A world for us
To settle down
And I know now
We failed somehow
Pick my feet
Up from the ground
The hills have rolled into the clouds
And callous faces
Line the alleyways
Where I long for you
It is no revolution
See, it always has been you and me
In the bar on the photo
Trying to find common ground
And she sings to me
When I'm wound
"If you can't love this
All goes away"
Way up there
They think they found
A world for us
To settle down
And I know now
We failed somehow
Pick my feet
Up from the ground
The hills have rolled into the clouds
And callous faces
Line the alleyways
Where I long for you
(What's a boy to do?)
It is no revolution
See, it always has been you and me
In the bar on the photo
Trying to find common ground
And she sings to me
When I'm round
"If you can't love this
All goes away
If you can't love this
All goes away"
