Those are just wonderful, Harrison! What a pretty little bird. I try to get close enough to get detail like that, but they always fly away. Wonderful shots! :o)

they dont fly anywhere, i was about 5 feet away. a few months ago I asked about birdfeeders and birds and stuff, ive been feeding them since them, so their not scared. they stay real close, so do squirrels. It seems like the red birds are scared though.

Fun stuff, Harrison! I like the jay with the nut in his mouth the best--and then the 4th one when he's contemplating the nuts. Nice, sharp, clear shots. Thanks for sharing!

Exactly, they're bluejays. You didn't know that you knew what they were.

they are nice looking, but typically pretty annoying. they cackle and attack the other birds, and scare them away.

nice shots none-the-less

You Blue Jay pictures are exceptionally good! Excellent detail in the feathers and a good catchlight in the eye. Expect it took some patience to get them to come check out your nut supply. Have you tried cracking the nut somewhat so they might extract the meat near your camera range. MIght be worth a try for another posing session.
