Hello everyone im a new member and was wondering are you able to enter more then one picture for the same challenge?

Thanks for your help!

I am new, too, but I know the answer to this one at least (lol): NO.

Nope, it is one challenge per member per challenge.

I guess technically there is nothing to stop someone entering with a separate identity, but then the credit if you do well goes to that other "person", but I don;t think for an instant that doing it that way is in the spirit of the site.

That's the hardest part here sometimes ... which of these photos do I use?????

Technically, creating multiple accounts violates the site's TOS and will get you permanently banned. I suggest posting in a forum thread instead. :)

Did not know it was actually stated in the rules, but I am glad it is :)

By "technically", I actually meant there is nothing physically stopping you doing that, as in no technology designed to check your IP or something against your ID.

Don't be so sure ...

Hmmm... some folks have a fixed IP while some have an assigned IP at login. For example, AOL users get an IP issued when they connect via dial-up. This IP was released by some other user. The same IP might never be used by the first user ever again, or maybe again in a week. If you bocked by IP, you could eliminate many people who are indeed unique but share a range of floating IPs.

Another scenario -- what about several people in the same house, say a husband, wife, daughter, & son who all share the same computer, same IP, but each is a photographer with their own membership and ID. This might seem to come from someone who is "cheating" with multiple IDs, but indeed they each did ONE picture and submitted it.

People these days have more than one computer often too. Like you can have a home one and a work one, or you may have a couple at home (parents and kids may use different computer).

But that would be pretty easy to slip up.

I am sure they would trace IPs and check out to see who uses them and even may compare photos.

This discussion brings to mind something I wanted to find out...my ten year-old son would like to register and submit in open challenges. How would I go about doing that without anyone thinking I was up to no good with two accounts from the same computer? Anyone know?
