Well, I reckon this would have done well (taken on the 31st June though)

And this

]

would have been my June submission if
1. it wasn't taken so early in the month and
2. I hadn't posted it here

I reckon I've come on in leaps and bounds this last couple of months (thanks for all your guidance) and If I can better either of these pics i'll be more than happy

Would love some constructive critism, am in a good mood tonight so you won't upset me

Thanks Shane, I suprised myself with the baby falcon pic but its a crop so probably not go bigger than 7x5, the rose is about 75% of the original and am happy with it, am close to submitting my first print to dpc :)

Both pics were taken with my new 75-300 USM IS. I'll be amongst the first to say its not the cam, moreover the photog that makes a good pic but I must say I reckon I'm getting better pics since I got the 300D (or maybe I've learnt more from you folks?)

Shane, the 75-300 isn't push pull. I've just posted the Sigma 70-300 APO back to the guy I bought it off as it needs re-chipping and only worked on the 300D @ 300, nice lense though.

If your EXIF says that's taken on June 31st I suggest you upgrade the camera firmware to use the Gregorian Calendar.
