I just realized tonight when I went to upload my most recent favorite photos to my DeviantArt account that they were all Portrait style. All of these except for the last one were straight from the camera, only Resized and Sharpened. The last had some Contrast & Brightness adjustment. Any feedback?

Note: My friend and I cosplay and go to conventions. What is that? We make and wear costumes of our favorite characters from TV shows, movies, or anime (Japanese cartoons) and then attend conventions based around them (comic conventions, anime conventions, ect.). Think Trekkies. But we're normal people, I swear!

Nice photos! I would suggest converting them to B&W and darkening them a bit using the left levels slider, I think they might look really good that way. And maybe burning the sky at 7% midtones (large brush) in the 3rd photo (B&W version). Sometimes auto levels and auto contrast work fine.

I hope you don't mind :) but I did some fast editing to #3, i'm not sure if its your taste, but I'll PM you a link.

Good luck...

Eh, I would try the burning, but I don't have Photoshop. ^^;; I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe.

I tried B&W and the autofix, but I don't really care for the effect.

Bah, I tried that...I swear I did. -_- It worked this time.

Um perhaps, but what I think I like about the color versions with the red dress is that it stands out from the backgrounds so well. With it burned like that it blends in more. It also kind of makes it seem like a gloomy day...why would Arwen be grinning on a gloomy day? Thanks for trying it out. Maybe a bit less? I could play with it later (messing with layers and such) but I don't have the time nor patience tonight.

Hi Ami...I really like photo number 2. It's my favorite of the four (8 if you count the B&W). I love the color of the dress contrasted with the greyish tones of the rocks and the greenery. The cars in the background of 1 are distracting, as are the harsh shadows on her face in 3. 4 is nice, but for those of us who don't watch Cowboy Bebop it just looks like a girl with a gun. I would like to have seen a bit more of her face, or at least her eyes. Nice bunch of photos! :o)

Thank you, Laurie. Lol, silly civilization crept in on my picture (#1). #4, yeah, I snapped it "incognito" because she wasn't in the picture "mood." But now she likes it and wants some more. Hehe. I was really happy with it for how I took it (held at chest level & guess pointed). It was disappointing not to have her eyes though.
