This would have been my entry for the three challenge, I lost track of the time and I missed the deadline. I hope I can still get some votes and critiques on this as if it made it into the challenge.

I will leave two comments on photos in the current three challenge for every critique I get on this during the challenge. Please post comments to the photo. Thanks ahead of time.

Missing by three minutes must be some kind of poetic justice ... left a note on the photo. Which carousel is that?

Thanks GeneralE and Bill hk2002
I do appreciate your feedback.
My concern on the out of focus horse was right on target with your critique. I didn't think it would be viewed as a strong three, more like two horses in focus and one in the background that doesn't count.

This is at the Shoreline Village Carousel in Long Beach GeneralE.
Thanks again to both of you!

Thanks -- I like to keep track of where there remain nice carousels ... they seem to me to be one of the truly worthwhile inventions of the last couple hundred years.

There's a nice one at the Santa Monica Pier, and one up near me in Berkeley in Tilden Regional Park (also outstanding miniature steam trains), and I think there might still one in Santa Cruz at the Beach Boardwalk.

I don't understand why you would make this black and white. I'm sure the horses are beautiful in color.

Thanks KarenB and Indianzfan
The Horses are beautiful in color Indianzfan, but I think it makes an already busy picture too busy. What do you think?. Here it is:
