Most need explaining so voting is just a shot in the dark. Hey, is that an allegory?

Is everyone afraid of voting on this challenge? Only 40 votes and just hours to go.

I opened the site about two hours ago because I wanted to vote on allegory. I went through the entries and found out that only a few entries are meeting my personal idea of allegory. I always thought that allegory means "depicting something abstract via a subject or a person".
Even reading the titles gave me no clues on what the abstract terms might be... maybe I don't understand it because of my lack of understanding English or because of my lack of fantasy. Either way I decided not to vote, I'd probably give out a lot of low scores

No you don't understand it because its abstract and as such it's not meant to be immediately understood, just use your imagination and your heart and go and vote, you couldn't go wrong like that.

I second John. Vote with your best understanding and esthetics. Why are you concerned about voting low if this is how you feel? You won't do it out of malice

You have rated 33 of 33 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.4242.
One favorite
Time permitting, I will comment

Well, you made strong points, John and Mariuca.
So I did vote and I found out, that there were more entries I liked than I thought before. I also made a fav ;-)

Thank you for encouraging me

I find as well that commenting helps me figure out about an image... I think more so in a challenge like this one, but overall.

I had fun commenting on this challenge, trying to tease out the meanings, and was generous in voting. Wishing now I had entered! :-)
