Not much point to ribboning ribbon images =D ...
But that's just how this challenge turned out.
get the ... I'm still not sure if there is a staged element to this. And I originally brushed it off. Honestly, I would have put money on this not getting a ribbon on first viewing-
I didn't connect with it until I gave it a 3rd look. Congrats on the accolades! =)
for . A textbook beauty. It's all there; and nothing more.
goes to . One of my favorite images ever on DPC. Has a wonderful beauty to it but also a foreign element; a mix of fear and mystery. |

Thank you tate. It was taken at night from a moving carnival float with the subject also moving. But I guess it would be considered staged - though not by me:) |

Oh I see now. Much like a float, I can be a little slow ;)

Babyface took a nap during this challenge.
for Nature's wonders in beautifully harsh contrast. This one didn't grab much attention apparently but for me it does what a juxtaposition should do. The butterfly appears to have won the battle for life but we all know the tree will far outlive her in the changing seasons. The wing and leaves - so similarly fragile and amazing in nature.
