Take a picture of something or someone. Use post-processing to create a new composition with artificial, perfect symmetry. Expert rules.

Yes! We did this before and it was fun...some very cool results!

Me too.

Sounds like fun by why expert? can it not just be advanced with a flag to allow you to flip 50% of the image?

Why not expert? What is there to be worried about?

That was what I suggested when I came up with the idea for this challenge the first time around, but when the suggestion was used, DPC decided to go with expert.

Because flip 'n blend images are artificial symmetry and involve MUCH more than inverting half the image.

This is not a flip n' blend challenge suggestion...I think. At least that's not the challenge I linked to earlier in the thread.

ETA...a flip and challenge would be fun too.

THe OP:

"Take a picture of something or someone. Use post-processing to create a new composition with artificial, perfect symmetry. Expert rules."

That's EXACTLY what flip 'n blend does, though... I mean, there are OTHER things you can do, but... It's definitely included...

I'm a bit confused. How are we suppose to do this in post processing under Advanced Rules?
09/07/2015 12:35:27 AM · #14
You just go up to a person and flip half their face....

You're not. That was an error and it is fixed. Like "Artificial Symmetry I", this is an Expert challenge. (Don't snap, Tiny!)
