Re-Orientation
Rotate your shot by 90 or 180 degrees to reveal a comp that holds the viewer's interest as-is.
Take a shot that has its own logic when it's upside down. You can take advantage of a reflection, or use a vertical flip in post processing.

We had an "Upside Down" in 2012. Here's the description; "It's a camera angle. It's a subject position. It's whatever your creativity limits you to."
Note the inclusion of upside-down subject in the description. |

I remember. It was fun to vote on.
Holding the camera upside-down is not necessary, so I never understood the thing about camera angle. It's all about looking for a comp that makes sense upside down, that the viewer's instant reaction would NOT be to say "oh, that's upside down."
And if the subject is upside down but the rest of the comp is not, then that's not truly an upside down comp in the sense that I mean the whole composition being upside down & looking fine that way, in fact only realizing it's upside down after looking at it for a while.
This one isn't upside down, it's sideways, but it illustrates the point.

We've had FIVE of the "other kind". Can you come up with a new Challenge Title that's more specific to your idea? Otherwise it will be mucho confusing. |

OK I got it. I think. Testing ideas for a challenge in the forum is a great idea, I like the feedback.
I think it might be fun under Minimal rules. |

So... What IS it? :-)
As to Minimal Editing, I think that's pretty restrictive for something like this, where it may take a little goosing to make the concept clear? |

Oh, I like the minimal idea, would give me a chance to properly shoot my crooked shot that I never entered ;) |

I put it in the queue as Minimal Editing. Why the heck not? Been a while since we had one of those. |
