| So my b/w entry needed to be the color gold? Ha! What other time of day could that picture have been taken, tell me? The lack of imagination here lately is making it hard for me to enjoy entering anything any more. |

Why would you enter a B/W picture in a challenge that actually uses the word "Golden" in its title and expect it to get anything other than a low score? I doubt very much this is unique to DPC, I think any place you had entered this in a golden hour challenge it would have tanked. And, to be brutally frank, to me it's a pretty blah image just on its own merits, never mind the topic... This is just my opinion, others may feel differently...

| To be frankly, I gave Pennystreet a 7 because it made me look at the picture longer, to guess the time it was taken. I believe that the lower votes are acceptable on this image. It's not impressive at first, and most people will only take a short time to look and vote. |

I never thought it would score well and frankly don't shoot for that, but thank you. I'd much rather hear that it's a meh image than be told it needed to be in color. Who knows, maybe my decision to post b/w was due to the fact that I didn't have anything great. But to have to post color just because the title of the challenge had the word golden in it, to me, is myopic. The challenge was Golden Hour. Of course this is just my opinion. |

I've never had so many outtakes. Was chasing the light all week. Fun but a wee bit tiring. Even just thinking about it.
