Yikes! The folks at LensPro are a good team and will bounce back quickly. Hopefully they release a list of serial#'s quickly as to check against used goods on ebay, buy/sell, etc. |

Being a builder etc and having worked in large IT firms. I'd want all that gear behind a bit more than a bit of drywall and glass!
When I worked for sun Microsystems our server room was like a bank vault! Steel doors reinforced concrete access control cameras

Bit ridiculous you'd have half-a-million dollars of image-capturing equipment lying around but no surveillance camera. Methinks his cute little comment about the mission impossible outfit and that they "aren't sure of that detail" was to get the thieves to not realize they've already been identified. |

I was also thinking they HAD to have video surveillance. Otherwise, pretty silly move... |

I've worked at places that were doing a much better job of protecting much less expensive stuff. Just sayin'...
Even a layer of hardware cloth in between the 2 pieces of sheetrock would probably have kept the bad guys out, for very little money. Startup software companies with no money working in shared space will get up in the ceiling and put chicken wire from the drop ceiling to the real ceiling to keep people from getting into their server closet through the ceiling. (Actually nowadays they just put everything on AWS and skip the server closet, but you get the idea.) |

I suppose that depends on how good your insurance coverage is. |

ETA: The Nikon 70-200 f/2.8G AF-S ED VR II , Canon 50 f/1.2L and Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II seem to be the most popular items.

Holy smokes that's a lot of lenses. Concord is very nice community and quite sleepy at night. Shirley there's at least one security camera that caught the truck needed to make off with this loot. |
