29) Spotted Towhee
30) Anna's Hummingbird
31) Marsh Wren
32) Savannah Sparrow
33) Common Yellowthroat
34) Killdeer
What is this?
And some better shots of ones I had before...
Golden-crowned Sparrow (mating plumage this time)
Red-winged Blackbird
Green-winged Teal
This is probably the end for me. I have work commitments starting tomorrow that will keep me from shooting again until April 28. It's been a success. I learned something about birds, and learned how to use my camera better. I also learned about long lenses and atmospheric distortion. |

37 Buzzard (Buteo buteo)
Normally we do see many birds of prey, like Golden Eagle, White-tailed Eagle, Kestrel ans Sparrowhawk, but somehow I don't see them this month. Hope I'll have better luck in the last week.
38 Rook (Corvus frugilegus)
And then the the small buggers. Not having a well-visited feeder (too much in the open, aggressive presence of gulls and crows) I have to find them in trees and bushes, making it more difficult to spot and photograph them.
39 Blackbirds (Turdus merula - first image most likely is a 1st-year male)
40 Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)
41 Female chaffinch??
42 Because of the black stripe on the chest, I guess this is a Great Tit (Parus major)
43 Robin (Erithacus rubecula)
* Edited to add one bird

Can anyone help ID this little fellow? I was ready to label him/her as a Bewick's Wren but s/he does not have the white eye brow. Tiny, tiny, tiny: not much bigger than a good-sized bumble bee and s/he jumps around like popcorn!
Sorry, this is shot through double pane glass so I know it is a tad 'muddy.' I have a so-so butt shot showing the markings on the underside of the tail that is decidedly OOF and even muddier, but if you want to see that, too, I'll put it up.
Thanks in advance for the help.

This is most likely my last posting of this side challenge. I'll be playing photographer for the Tour of the Gila bicycle race for the next five days, so will have little time for birds. It should be a lot of fun! Anyway, this has been great, and I really have seen some incredible photography on this bird side challenge. I've also learned a lot, and can now name many birds that I couldn't before. Thanks everyone.
