Does anyone know anything about this company? ...this lens? Thanks in advance! |

I have their 100-300mm and it doesn't work with my 10D. I bought it several years back for my film camera. That company usually provides lenes for Ritz camera. I'd suggest staying away from that brand. Just so you know, I got an error 99 with the Quantary lens, most likely you might get one with the digital rebel as well. That error essentially makes the lens useless. |

i would recommend staying away from it as well. a coworker has the 100-300 lense, and i personally feel it lacks in optical quality. it makes an otherwise good photo turn into a snapshot, IMHO.

Quantaray is usually rebadged Tokina or Tamron equipment. As far as I know Quantaray is not in the business of making lenses or a lot of items with the Quantaray name on it. Its just a name brand
I use the 28-200 Quantaray and the 19-35 quantaray lenses. They are not the best lenses in the world, but I use them daily and love them. The price is right also.
I have not heard good things about the Quantaray 100-300 lens or the 28-300 lens either.

I think quantaray is a 'house brand' for Ritz Camera. It is not known for quality. |
