I don't know that we need two challenges for this one -- but I really did like the open -- pick one of two challenges. I liked seeing the differences. :)
This could be interestingâ€Â¦ It's always nice when a photo brings out another one of the senses.
Though "the 5 senses - 1" could be interesting. Make us touch, smell, hear, taste something instead of just looking at it. |

I think that is what I was thinking was the open one where you can only choose one but have them together kind of thing like we did with the bad and good challenge a while back, that was fun..
The title could be changed easily to using all 5 Senses you hate or adore or something like that, whatever works

Should have seen me on Sunday huffing an bright pink eraser with a giraffe on it that I've had since early elementary school. I found it in a "memory" box deep in my closet and couldn't stop inhaling it. It doesn't have a specific scent, just the smell of the rubber launches me back to my childhood for some reason. I think I'd need expert editing and a small child for this one. :) |

The smell of hay is what takes me back to childhood - back to stays on my grandparents (later uncle's) farm. |

Hah, my entry would probably feature all the savoury components of eau d'stable...hay, wood, leather, sweat, horsehair, shavings or straw...you could blindfold me and drive me to any barn I've ever worked at and I could tell you which barn it was because they do all have their own unique blend of these base scents. I was delighted to visit the first barn I began riding at a million years ago, and it still smells precisely the same.
Oh and of course I'd include horse manure in the shot. Of course that would sink my entry cause most peeps seem to think horse manure has a gawdawful rancid stench to it like dog poo does, b/c dogs will eat ANYTHING. Thankfully, horses don't; manure is mostly processed grass and grain so it usually has more of a sweet smell to it. Sure it has an odour to it, but not enough to make you feel borderline nauseous!

It's a mater of perspectiveâ€Â¦to a hog farmer pig manure smells like money. To the yuppies across the way who wanted to experience "rural living" it smells like crap. |

There's a reason for that and us country folks have it all figured out. :O)

I found some of those "flavored" markers at work the other day and made sure I gave each a good huff. Grape and licorice were the two that really took me back. I remember loving the blueberry one too, but apparently someone else loves the blueberry since it wasn't in the box. |
