i bought a canon 70 - 200 2.8 today can't wait to get it this week , hope it lives up to it's rep !

Congrats on the purchase, I have been looking at the 2.8L but am now thinking of saving a few pounds and opting for the f4L, way cheaper and much lighter. I was also looking at the 70-300 USM IS, its about £400 and the 70-200 f4 is around £600. I guess L glass is the way to go but would I really miss the extra 100mm?

How much was it? From whom did you buy it? Do you figure this will be your walk around lens?

Just won a telephoto lens for my Nikon 950/995 on ebay!!!

Oh, happy day!

Now if my banana does well...

recieved my lenses fri it's awsome . it's a little big , but worth it , very fast and sharp i shot some pictures of the blue angels today at jone beach in ny they came out great
