Love the colors and composition. The hot pink shirt against the gray house/window is really nice. There is only one tiny thing distracting my eye in the shot, and it's the little white styrofoam cup inside the room on a coffee table or something. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's because it's 1:55 am. But the shot is really "too cool" and that is just one little nit pick. :o)

You got a better eye than I have then! After I cloned out the two styro cups, I couldn't really pick out any detail inside the building and liked the little bit of detail that was left...

Love this shot. The colours are great and it has an overall feeling of balance. You can really feel the heat... glad I moved to the temperate coast! ;) |

The warm skin tone and the bright colored makes this shot very interesting. The subject seems to be framed within a frame by the way the window is open and helps to focus ones eyes on the girl.
Question. So what lens would a peeping Tom shoot with? :P

Kit lens! Wide open which explains why it's a touch soft. Works here nicely IMHO!

Nikon, Canon, Nikon, Canon, Nikon, I think that it has shifted stongly to the Canon side. Kit lens huh. |

GREYT TONES ! The variations in the siding & window frame especially , talk about a properly exposed photograph . |

I agree that is a great shot... I don't want to detract from the shot because it is good BUT... Please explain the relationship between candid photography and cloning things out. Doesn't that make it alittle contrived?

Perhaps TooCool should answer this himself , but , hey ; "candid" conveys a natural , spontaneous photograph , "contrived" brings to mind a preconceived image properly executed . |

Hmmmm... This implies one of two things:
1-You are a liar, it is a setup shot and it is NOT a candid.
2-You are a budding Peeping Tom.
OK, fess up, which is it?
:)
(Note: BTW, very nicely done image)

LOL! Another thought ; Perhaps being a photographer means the ability to capture "candid" moments as photographs vs. snapshots ? |

Candid as in unposed, unsolicited shot. Cloned out as in after I took the shot I saw one distracting element and removed it. It is after all not a challenge shot.

Heesh, I walked past a small restaraunt window on the way to the convenience store. Saw this and snapped away. This makes me a voyeuer? ;-)

Hehe - the Eskimos in Northern Canada call a Voyeuer "Tom Took-a-look"

Doesn't being a photographer give you license to peep? When I pass a window I look inuit.
Nice pic TC. |
