		| | It seems that people think my photo does not fit the category of "organic geometry" ~sigh~... Oh well.... my wife who also is taking part in this one, thought mine would do better in the free study challenge. But as I went out to take this photo with this specific challenge in mind and sat there for over an hour to take the shot, I wanted to enter it here. I just can't stop looking at the photo and the subject.... because I just loveeeee it. It doesn't matter what my score is, I just love it. Wishing you all the best, hope the voters are kind to you all..... now bring on the free study challenge.!

I convinced my dad to join the site and this challenge is his first one.. he'll probably beat me, mine was kind of a shoehorn job.

Mine's up and down and up and down. But that's ok, it's not something I'm crazy about. :)

		| | 'Organic Geometry' has a dual definition in art. A geometric pattern in organic matter or an organic pattern in non-organic matter. So the subject matter theoretically could be either organic or non-organic. Which throws open the question of what was intended in this challenge. Either or both? |

Let me guess - your entry is non-organic and getting slammed in voting? LOL

That's not really the question, though: the question actually is, "Do I want to win a ribbon in this challenge?" and if your answer to the question is "YES!" then the NEXT question is, "What will the voters probably be looking for, and how can I present it in a visually stunning way?"

For what it's worth, this comes from the challenge descriptions: "Find a subject which displays the geometry of something organic." That's a slightly ambiguous wording, but MOST people will read it as "Find something organic that shows geometry", basically.

None of the front page photos are "visually stunning." Even the one I like isn't "stunning" per se.

I'm not saying they ARE, but that's the right question to be asking if you're ribbon-hunting, pretty much.

And all this time I thought it was, "Why are the voters trying to keep me down, and how can I stick it to the man?"

Seems my theme has been high-jacked! It's not about scores or ribbons, but it seems you are all the obsessed by them, this is about definitions. But I'll give up gracefully now.

		| | In the visual arts, shapes are often categorized as "organic" or "geometric". Find a subject which displays the geometry of something organic. The details is very Very Very VEry VERy VERY confusing!!!!!
