Hello! I am hoping someone here can help me... I'm trying to figure out what it is that I have to do to have a business phone line auto-answer with a message along the lines of:

You've reached blah blah business, please press 1 for operating hours, press 2 for address and directions, press 3 for pricing and 0 to reach an operator..

or something of that ilk.. I've tried "Googling" it but without knowing what such thing is called my searches have come up very vague and mostly refer to voicemail systems.

Does anyone have any pertinent information or could direct me in the right direction for this? Much appreciated!

I in no way vouch for this link, but it might give you some help with your conundrum.

How to Automate Your Phone System

Edit: Changed a comma that I didn't like.

I hear advertisements for just this type of service on satellite radio all the time. Unfortunately I don't pay attention as I do not need it. However, I will keep an ear out and post back when I hear the name.

Thanks aliqui! I'll peruse the website to see if I can figure something out.

Much appreciated CEJ. I'm thinking it can't be something too complicated since most businesses have it. We don't have it at my workplace and I'm hoping to get it integrated because 99% of the phone calls we get are the same questions over and over and it'd make it much easier to not have to answer the same questions 100 times a day, especially when you're already busy with other customers.

I use Google voice, but it doesn't have those options that I am aware of. Back when I was in IT, those systems were referred to as ACD systems (Automated Call Distribution). That may or may not help with your search.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd consider changing the name of your business. :P
