Totally unrelated to photography, but you're the only people I trust. I tried to grow some white onions this year, but they barely grew. The stalks have fallen, so I yanked them from the ground. I won't be having a garden here next year I don't think (moving). Can I eat these little guys? |

Yes. They will be mild. Slice 'em for salads like a big scallion if you like. They cook up fine too.

That's what I hoped someone would say! Onions, it's what's for dinner... I better not die, Bear. :) |

I'm pretty sure they have hallucinogenic effects. Enjoy. |

Classic thread.
Can I take a snapshot of this to submit for the upcoming Time Capsule challenge?

You kids are out of control. lol
Turns out, we didn't eat them for dinner. Instead we had grilled chicken and baked zucchini strips. I'm going to recommend soup the the chef (husband) tonight, and see if we can't treat them like pearl onions. |

The garden is bad here too though
My tomatoes are not growing that well this year either, they are just starting to grow.. only picked 4 out since July..

Oh noes! Though, you did all just come out of permafreeze in min-June... Hopefully they can start producing before winter comes again.
We can barely eat all the stuff coming from our plants. I have six tomato plants of various types and a zucchini plant. Just one cherry tomato plant alone is burying us. The others are San Marzano, Roma, and Beefsteak. Occasionally our cucumber plant grows a huge cucumber overnight, it's sneaky like that. This was my first year for onions, so I attribute my failure to my own ignorance since everything else seems to be growing well. I'm fairly certain I planted them way too late, because I know for sure I didn't have them in the ground by April. Being in a warmer climate, we maybe should have even got them in earlier.
