Any suggestion deal/discount? I looked at this one at B&H and EDU discount is over $130, now the problem is they need to have fine student/photography/Digital editing etc student to be eligible. I tried MBA but didn't work.
Any other good but a little bit cheaper recommendation? |

I know that this is NOT directly related to your question, but if you fly a lot and want to bring some of your equipment with you, you might want to know the dimensions of the bag you intend to purchase.
It would be a shame to spend oodles of money and then not be able to board an aircraft because it was too big for a carry-on.

What are the little screw-together pipe things in the little pouch off to the side shown in one of the B&H images for that bag? |

As Ray said, be careful if you intend to fly with such a bag. Inside the USA, the carry on luggage restrictions tended to be quite relaxed, but once you're flying internationally, you'll have problems with such a bag.
It is very slightly outside of allowed measurements, and the weight will be a big problem. You are only allowed 7kg/15lbs carry on, yet the bag alone and empty already weighs 4.8kg/10.5lb.
I have a very similar bag which sometimes is perfect to use when I have a car and bring a lot of gear, but not for flying.
Also be aware that the wheels are very small, and are really not meant for heading "cross country" with. City pavement works great :-) |
