Blend a famous photo or painting with one of your own photos to make a new scene. (Reference the famous photo or painting in your title, so folks can find it while voting.)

ETA: added "or painting" twice

Yikes, I'd have to really think about that one.
I'm NOT ready for it, but it is a wonderful idea. Well "thunked of", Lydia! I bet I'd like looking at the submissions, as long as they reference the original as you suggested. |

Would there be any copyright issues with doing this? |

If the photos are not already in the public dommain* or available through a Creative Commons (or other) license you could still use them for educational, critical, or satirical (parody) purposes, but not commercially. Posting/entering here for an evaluation of your editing and creative skills should be OK, but don't post the image at DPC Prints ... ;-)
*hint: check at the Library of Congress for vast collections of public-domain photographs |

Now that I see Ken's image (LOL!!), I think the description needs to read "Blend a famous photo or painting with one of your own photos to make a new scene. (Reference the famous photo or painting in your title, so folks can find it while voting.) "
