Is it just me? Wasn't the total number of Opposites submissions over 300 at the start of voting?

What gives?

It was at 301 as I recall.

As for dropping that would have to be due to Disqualifications. I am certain that more then a one or two photos are DQ'd in every challenge.

Wow. Seven DQ's? Doesn't that seem like a lot?

actually, proof has been requested on mine. like a good lad, i submitted the original for validation last wednesday evening. i still haven't had any confirmation from the SC with regards to the acceptance of said image. now, i know us plebs have to respond within 48 hours - surely there is a time limit for it's valididty to be disputed once submitted? afterall, this is the last day of voting and my submission is still without a this has been validated sticker. I just don't know if i should allow myself to be happy for getting (for me) an above average score.

Same here, although my request was given on the day the voting began. I sent in my proof the same evening and still I am awaiting a final decision...

It's no big deal if I am or am not DQ'd. The important thing is that I gave it a go.

Someone PLEASE DQ mine. It's my lowest score yet.

Keep in mind that there's 14 people on SC who have to vote on each DQ request. It can take a bit of time to get through them. :)

14, huh? Didn't I read somewhere that they need a majority to make a decision? What happens if they get a 7-7 tie? Does Jeff Probst make them pull rocks out of a bag to determine which photo must leave the island?

We've lost another 3 since this morning. Getting down to the wire...

My picture was just validated and I submitted the original last week. I think it is kind of funny because the picture is basically crappy. I couldn't imagine why anyone might think that it should be validated unless it was random. It is flat and boring and the lighting is goofy (I was trying to avoid a shadow). Sorry, didn't mean to give away which one it is, hahaha.

On a good note my idea was right on.

As long as they don't make anyone eat a live ANYTHING, pulling rocks out of a bag seems fair to me! LOL
