I haven't participated in a couple years so I'm sure a few things have changed but I noticed last night after results came in for the abstract with people challenge that several images were removed. Is this by the user or admin and why? |

Actually they are not removed. This occurs when 2 entries have the same end score. |

Those were ties. It's how they're doing it now. Don't ask me to explain it, 'cause I don't get it, but nothing's been "removed". |

So bizarre. So is there any way to see what the image is and who created it? |

There is no "removed image". If you'll notice, there are two 7th place images, and no 8th place. The next place is 9th. The "removed image" icon is just a place holder for 8th place.
Its like in the Olympics, if two athletes tie for first place, they don't award a silver medal, just two golds and a bronze.

The images are all there. Look above the "removed" image and you will see two images with the same score holding the same placement.
On a related note: It seems like there's a thread about this every week. Maybe we should request that Langdon change the wording, because it's freaking people out. I fear it may not be a simple wording change in the code, because I think he may be reusing code that's designed for actually removing stuff, but it's worth a shot.
