Unless the word majority means something different to you all. |

Yeah, it was supposed to be 90% of the picture. |

Where did the 90% come from, I guess I missed something or is that your interpretation of majority, to me 51% is a majority. It clearly shows everyone interprets the topics differently. |

It's actually in the link I posted (when you click on "supposed"). At the beginning the whole picture was supposed to be a reflection, then 90%. So yeah... it wasn't my interpretation of majority.

Never read it, maybe it should have been in the description.... Even then most people never get past the title. |

how can you speak for the majority, or maybe you are right, considering how some photo's end up! |

Not just for majority... also assuming my interpretation (earlier) :)
Anyway, I always read challenge descriptions.

For what it's worth I always read the entire description too but hardly ever read the threads about the topic, I find those threads can at times be a little self serving with people trying to determine for everyone how to interpret the topic. For this particular challenge what met the majority of the topic meant was up for interpretation and I would have never seen or looked for the thread, personally I feel the images that won fit the challenge very well. I am not speaking for the majority and never said I was, but I do feel a lot of people just read the title then vote, I could be wrong! I also feel this is the wrong thread for this discussion, it is really for outtakes which is what I entered the thread to see! |

I thought "most" means majority, but what do I know? My interpretation is probably way off. Anyway. Time for the outtakes :) |

It matters more if the VOTERS read the description than the entrants. And even then, there's always some level of subjectivity to it. The only thing I would say about Neat's entry is that it is not a "Pure" reflection - my understanding/interpretation was that it should be a mirror-like reflection - unlike "Reflections without Mirrors" for example. Nothing in Neat's comments indicates that she was scored low because it didn't meet the challenge because of the amount of reflection.

ha, what, mine was a pure reflection, it was all a reflection, nothing in it wasn't a reflection. I don't care about mine anyway, I'm talking about the voters.

Pure - meaning not distorted by waves is what I meant. What are you saying about the voters? I'm not understanding... |

just goes to show how everyone interprets words differently, to me 'pure' meant not distorted, but 'entirely'.
Not to worry Art, it's a lost cause! |

Sorry for the confusion, I was stating what my perception of what happens is, clearly I can not talk for others but I can offer what I believe to be true but again that is just my opinion. |

Entry (which did more poorly than I thought but was closer to the challenge description than my outtakes):
Outtakes (and nicer shots I feel):
