I have been a member on dpchallenge for a few years, but haven´t been active at all. At last I wanted to change that and paid the full year membership, so I could start by taking part in "Art of 2013".
That was a few days ago, but still I am not a full member. I already made an administrative inquiry to dpc regarding the issue, but haven´t got a reply yet. I even included the PayPal transaction ID.
Quite frankly, this is starting to really piss me off. Does this usually take such a long time?

I had a similar issue when I joined my wife up but the issue was me....if I remember what I was doing wrong I'll reply again.....

A pity your enthusiasm was dampened. But hang in there. There are occasional glitches, but for the most part, things run smoothly.

Hang in there. I've seen this happen on occasion and it is resolved. Once resolved you won't be disappointed. Look forward to seeing your work.

It'll surely get resolved -- I can understand the frustration. Fortunately, there are still 8 days to submit an Art entry.

to drudge up Skip's analogy. its like sitting at the bar waiting for the bartender/owner to serve you but the he is too busy handling business unrelated to the bar. For some reason he wont hire a manager or another bartender.

Normally it's instant, but you unfortunately registered on Sunday when there were some internet routing issues where parts of the country/world couldn't access our servers -- PayPal included it seems. Transaction notifications usually get retried, but it looks like it was dropped for one reason or another. Sorry for the hassle. =/

I tried reaching for beer and got a message "You have reached a none functioning feature of the DPC, please check the feature and try again" ;)

Unfortunately you were outside the 2:30 service window. The tap is closed for the foreseeable future (Hicccc) :-)
