What, you don't like having this challenge suggestion associated as something you'd see at Worth1000?
FWIW - I didn't look to see WHO suggested it at the time. I was pointing out the November trend in heavy photo-shopped (Expert rules) challenges. More directed toward the site in general, not a specific DPC member. |

Has nothing to do with Worth1000 - very rarely do I go there. In fact I have never gone there unless directed by a link here. |

Regardless, it's HERE, it's a 2-week challenge, and it's gonna be FUN :-) I wish a bunch of people would just go ahead and let their hair down and enter into the spirit of the thing even if they "don't have a chance": this kind of stuff is just fun to do. Gawd knows I've entered plenty of expert challenges with work that doesn't come within a mile of Christophe's or Samantha's, and it's never bothered me because (let me repeat myself here) I HAD FUN! |

But -- I don't have a dog anymore -- I just have cats!! Why not birds and cats!?!
Oh wait -- that would be bats... :)

Some people see an *alarming* trend in HEAVY PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGES. Obviously these are SERIOUS PHOTOGRAPHERS. No fun allowed--& stay offa their lawn. If you want to have fun, you have to go to some other less SERIOUS site where they let you walk on the grass. |

Hey. I actually LIKE the grass here at DPC. It's worth 2000 of the other's site's grasses :-) |

If your idea of "fun" photography is putting a birds head on a dog or a dogs head on a bird, have at it. Quality stuff for sure.
Now ... as for green, there have been at least 6 challenges with a green theme, however, haven't seen any with a grass theme. Perhaps it's about time. :-) |

I saw the post I linked to when linked at another site I peruse. I thought it was just a cool, fun idea and the ones they had on that post were fairly well done. First thought I had was "DPCer's could do better" as there are some extremely talented people on this site and then I thought "DPCer's are just game enough to have fun with this". I know I am just not good enough with editing to pull off an entry. I certainly will take shots for it (Mom just got a new puppy which is as cute as a button) and I live in an area saturated with birds of all types and sizes. I wish my editing skills were better as I would love to enter. But I certainly will enjoy all the entries and have fun voting, commenting, and I am sure laughing. |

Ah...thank you! I apologize, I am bad with names. I too love their collective works. Such inspiration, imagination, and skill. |

AND -- I actually beat Christophe in an expert editing challenge once, so miracles do happen! :)
Personally, I'm less and less interested in the expert editing challenges. I used to enjoy them more. However, I still do them. because each time I do, I seem to learn something that helps me in the regular editing in which I am interested. I keep saying it, but knowledge is power, people!

Ok, NOW I'm worried. |
I think I figured out my past mistakes. Pretty sure it'll be safe this time. |

Yeah, for a real challenge this should have been run under the Minimal Editing rules ... |

I could have suggested Cats wearing tights but I didn't. I think that is a plus in itself. |

I know I may never get a chance to win any of the challenges. But when I do enter I just enjoy trying to Challenge myself in doing what I can. But the best thing about it is that I can learn how to do things I never did before. This is my CHALLENGE.
