One of the comments, in particular, is very possibly one of the (if not The) highest praise i can ever recall getting on this site for an image.
I've truly come to see even new aspects of the referenced book after seeing some of the comments i've received, and have found new symbolism in the everyday aspects of my image.
I guess I found my inner artist for this challenge after all :D

i'm very eager to get more feedback of the current nature in the future - stating what did and didn't work for viewers :)

I realized how important comments can be in a challenge (but I always knew that!). Great job guys. I loved your 9 comments and at the end of the challenge I'll explain the choices I made shooting this photo :)

My goodness! The comments!

On a 5.7 score, I am currently sitting with 17 marvelous comments. The best thing about them is the variations. Some love the colors, others hate it. Some see the connections, others don't. Some like the composition, some don't. Peeking into the varied minds that make up this site is a wonderful experience.

I processed my entry to a point where it would be a "love-it or hate-it", but now seeing the comments it has attracted it turns out that it is more of a hate-it type!

And I expect and can't wait to read all these varied comments on everyone else's entries, too. What you are experiencing is true of my entry, too, Mike.

Loving the feedback, whether positive, technical or other, it's great to hear where people come from!
Tomorrow I shall do my comments and voting!

What if a comment points out something that doesn't work, the voter specifies that his/her vote is below 6, but he/she is completely wrong about what he's stating?

Despite of all I still think that it's great to know why voters cast low votes, even if this time is quite painful.

Sometimes we just fail to see things, as with my doors entry. If one takes the time to look, they will see the detail in an ordinary object. But, if you skim over the pic, you may miss it.

It is interesting to see how others see things tho

This case is quite different, but in a couple of days everyone can understand what I'm talking about. It's probably a case of 'I've seen too much in depth the photo finding something that doesn't exist'. :)

Yeah...not much fun reading a comment as to why your pic was worthy of only a 2. At least that commenter didn't take the easy way out of being a baghead.

BTW Denielle, thanks so much on your comment, it really made my day :-)

You have to, otherwise you're too late ;-)

But great job everyone, all your comments are much appreciated!

The only thing that surprised me about a couple of comments was that some people would like the picture to be a replica of a scene from the novel. But the description clearly states to draw inspiration from the novel not necessarily copy it.
I like the ones that actually help me improve technically.

I don't think it has to be a replica of a scene from the novel, but i have to put in here that redacted redacted redacted redacted redacted redacted. So that's where my thoughts came from.
